Mechanical Ventilation
Mechanical ventilation covers items such as supply and exhaust fans (see picture of car park exhuast fan). Often these items require noise control in the form of duct silencers or internal duct lining.
A mechanical design can be modelled on computer in order to determine the noise level at a nearby receptor. A prediction can be made to determine whether the acceptable noise level is exceeded and if so recommendations for noise control are made. Vibration isolation of the fan would normally be required.
Day Design has extensive experience in the modelling of mechanical ventilation systems with consideration for air flow and pressure drop to meet the project specific noise criteria.
